Lee Sung-Gu

Built thick and rising well past average height, Sung-Gu is a young man whose black hair falls in shaggy disarray. A broadly square jaw frames his face, and his lips read as full and prominent. His work outfit is the crew's standard issue: a gray mining suit topped off with a hardhat.

Conceit colors nearly everything about Sung-Gu. Any hunter he files away as lesser earns his rudeness and his disregard. He saves the worst of that scorn for Jinwoo, choosing to read him in the harshest possible light for no reason beyond the fact that Jinwoo refused to back down when the two first crossed paths.

Once word reached him that the mining crew's newest hire held only an E-Rank, Sung-Gu set out to entertain himself at the recruit's expense, ramming a shoulder into Jinwoo on purpose as they moved through the dungeon. He then snapped at him to quit clogging the route and shift over, never mind that the bump had been entirely his own doing and the corridor offered plenty of room. Yet the instant Jinwoo's stare fixed on him, he shrank back uneasily. The reaction told Sung-Gu that the new arrival was no ordinary recruit, and unable to make sense of it, he jumped to the wrong idea that Jinwoo had once killed someone. How far off he was became undeniable three days afterward, when Jinwoo surfaced on the news, officially named the country's newest S-Rank hunter.
