Park Heejin

Vivid green eyes are Heejin's most striking feature, set beneath a fall of long, dark hair. For the Red Gate ordeal she carries a compact yellow staff and dresses for combat in a white blouse with billowing sleeves, a gold wing-shaped pauldron over one shoulder, dark leggings, and boots in matching yellow.

Level-headed under pressure, Heejin rarely panics and tends to calculate her odds before committing. That instinct shows when she opts to trust her survival to Jinwoo rather than follow Kim Chul's bid to clear the dungeon, a gamble that pays off. She also keeps faith with her guild, going out of her way to back Ahn Sangmin's effort to bring Jinwoo into the White Tiger fold.

A routine White Tiger training run goes wrong when the dungeon the squad enters reveals itself as a Red Gate. With Kim Chul calling for volunteers to push through and clear it, Heejin breaks away and aligns herself with Jinwoo, betting on her own safety. The decision spares her life: Kim Chul's entire group is wiped out by the dungeon's monsters, while she escapes alongside Jinwoo, Song-Yi, and two C-Rank Hunters.

Later, when the Beast Monarch erupts into the city and lays waste to it, Heejin throws herself into guiding civilians clear of the carnage. She is on the scene as Thomas Andre confronts the rampaging Monarch, and can only look on, helpless, as the creature's raw might crushes him with sheer force.
