Overview

These are small tablets that fit in the hand, used by the Apostles concealed on Earth to trade messages discreetly with one another and their allies. Their range of use reaches past mere talk, since the tablets can also tie distant points together and permit teleportation between them. In practice they mirror the Shadow Exchange skill, forging links between Gates.

Function

Beyond covert communication, a tablet can spin up temporary Gates that allow travel from one settlement to another. The villains running the Bank in the Last Paradise exploited this, using a tablet to stay connected with hidden communities scattered through Elvenwood around the world. When Suho, posing as Beru, wrecked the Last Paradise economy by buying out its fruit, the bank's leader was forced to use such links to reach other villain cities for more stock.

Woo Jinchul's team later found one while razing the villain city of Alfheim. After Suho slew the Nightmare Apostle at the World Tree, Harmakan retrieved another from the ruined Russian lab, giving the young Monarch a means to hunt down the remaining Apostles in hiding.
