Overview

Jinwoo took this formidable magic item from within the Demon Castle after he had felled the S-Rank demon Vulcan. Two other rewards fell with it: the Demon Monarch's Earring, plus a single Fragment torn from the World Tree. As for the orb itself, it is a red crystal sphere formed out of the high-ranking demon's petrified blood, giving off tremendous magical energy and renowned for amplification that no ordinary craft can match.

Function

Named Desire for Destruction, the orb's power doubles whatever magic damage its bearer inflicts. Importantly, its strength rises in step with the wielder's own, so the artifact turns far deadlier when an already mighty spellcaster grips it. Once the final war ended, Beru suggested Tusk rework the orb into a staff; aided by the dwarves, it was set as the head of a dragon-styled staff, the sphere held inside the sculpted jaws.

Notable Users

At first Jinwoo considered putting the orb up at the Korean Hunters Auction, where an astonished custodian rated its amplification at an unprecedented 100 percent, twice what even the most celebrated artificers managed. Grasping its true value, he held onto the sphere and passed it down to Tusk, one of his shadow soldiers. Wielded by Tusk, the orb turbocharged his fire magic, letting him annihilate, in mere seconds, a host of demon lords and other high-ranking demons, even though his transformation into a shadow had sapped his original strength.
