Summary

Song turns aside Taeshik's opening strike. As a nimble B-Rank assassin type, Taeshik fights with sharp, precise speed and even compliments Song's swordsmanship. He cuts Song, but Joohee mends the wound, which draws his eye to her. He breaks off and goes for the healer, only for Song to bar his way. Taeshik unleashes a flurry of slashes, leaving Joohee too overwhelmed to heal. As he moves in to finish Song, the swordsman triggers his trap, loosing a wave of fire magic that swallows the assassin in flame.

Key Events

Taeshik walks out of the inferno with only light burns and a smirk, again praising Song's cleverness, then lifts his dagger for the kill. Jinwoo intervenes and blocks it, stunning both Song and Joohee. Taeshik turns his full attention to Jinwoo and concludes that reflexes like those rule out an E-Rank. Knowing Jinwoo has raided with Song and Joohee before and spared them, he rejects the idea of a false ranker and lands on a second awakening, though he dismisses it as irrelevant, betting that Jinwoo's inexperience will doom him.
