Bondman

Bondman lives entirely inside the animated world of Spy Wars, the wildly popular Ostanian series built as an affectionate parody of the James Bond films. His look and code name lean on that inspiration, and his image spreads across the posters, comic volumes, and merchandise that fans like Anya collect. Taisuke Nakano voices him in Japanese and Aaron Campbell in the English dub.

On screen Bondman is the fearless master spy, unshaken even when the League of Evil captures and tortures him, since he flatly refuses to sell out his friends. He is also an incorrigible womanizer whose many romances tend to end badly; in one story his spurned lovers unite in fury and break things off all at once when his commitment issues come to light. His bravado and one-liners give Anya a steady supply of quotes to imitate.

Bondman anchors nearly every Spy Wars episode Anya follows. He frees Princess Honey and her castle from the League of Evil, prompting her to pledge her love, and later recovers a keepsake stomach warmer stolen from her, the deed that inspires Anya to name the dog Bond. Across other episodes he cracks secret codes, shadows targets to protect world peace, and romances partners such as Agent M, an enemy spy, and Gina. Anya reenacts and role-plays his adventures throughout the series.
