Dominic

A dirty blond pompadour, with a single strand slipping loose over his forehead, gives Dominic his signature look, and light stubble dots his chin. Fair-skinned and of unremarkable height, he nonetheless appears solidly built.

His wardrobe stays simple. At the city hall office he pairs a white button-up and striped tie with dark slacks, while for a party he layered a green sweater and a brown coat over a collared white shirt, finishing with black trousers worn with brown shoes.

Good humor defines Dominic. He approaches nearly everyone with warmth, worries readily about other people's wellbeing, and steps in to smooth things over whenever tempers flare, making him noticeably steadier than the rest of his office. That kindness shows in how he treats Yor, whether championing the cooking lessons Camilla gives her or volunteering to taste the results, and in the way he looks out for his neighbor Yuri.

With Camilla he is endlessly patient, shrugging off her sharp temper and praising her openly without a trace of embarrassment, though he can turn insecure and jealous around men he considers better-looking or more successful than himself. He also misses emotional currents entirely at times, caught off guard by the friendship blooming between Yor, Camilla, Millie, and Sharon, and he tears up easily at moving stories such as the account of Yor and Yuri growing up alone together. Camilla, for her part, wishes he showed more professional killer instinct and gripes that he tends to arrive late for dates, then laugh the whole thing off.

Dominic enters the story at a get-together where he cheers up Camilla and greets Yor politely, debuting in Chapter 2 of the manga and Episode 2 of the anime. Through his job and his girlfriend he crosses paths with Yor regularly, and he doubles as an occasional source of updates for Yuri, his apartment neighbor, who quizzes him about his sister's life at the office.

Dominic has no idea his friend serves in the State Security Service, believing instead that Yuri holds a diplomatic post under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was visibly relieved to learn Yuri had survived years of eating Yor's catastrophic childhood cooking, and he later helps arrange the lessons that slowly begin to improve it.
