Upturned red eyes and soft, handsome features mark Yuri as unmistakably Yor's sibling; the two look so alike that he once passed convincingly as her stunt double for a role. Twenty years old and standing 179 cm, he carries a slim, straight build and keeps his black hair in an untidy bob with ragged, uneven bangs, a style he wore slightly shorter through childhood and his college years.

His wardrobe shifts with his roles. On duty he wears the SSS's standard uniform, trading it for a tan cap, white shirt, jacket, and black trousers when working undercover in public. Off the clock he favors a light brown trench coat layered over a black suit, white long-sleeved shirt, and dark blue tie, finished with black gloves, black shoes, and a dark wristwatch on his left arm. His casual clothes while tutoring Anya included a black shirt whose chest pocket carried an eye emblem echoing the SSS insignia.

Yuri's inner world orbits around Yor. Orphaned during the Second East-West War, he grew up under his sister's sole care and repaid her sacrifices with an admiration that hardened into a full sister complex. The child who ached for her praise became a man who dreads her disappointment, and his studies and his posts in the Foreign Ministry and SSS all trace back to a resolve to protect his protector.

Two versions of him coexist. Acquaintances meet a cheerful, approachable young man; suspects meet a cold, intimidating interrogator who sheds the friendly mask the instant national security or his family seems threatened. Fiercely patriotic, he reserves special contempt for spies, traitors, and liars, above all anyone whose deceit wounds a family. Flashes of empathy still surface: he raged at Franklin Perkin's cruelty toward children yet pitied his poverty and quietly arranged aid for the man's father after the arrest. Even so, his moral compass points wherever Yor's happiness lies.

Around his sister the sharp investigator dissolves. He swallows her flimsiest excuses, leaps to wild conclusions about Loid, and condemns dishonesty while lying to her daily about his own job. Pride compounds the problem; arrogance makes failure sting, and his repeated losses to Twilight leave him bitterly self-critical. Years of surviving Yor's accidental blows and hazardous cooking gave him freakish resilience, which he abuses by working through sickness and injury until colleagues like Chloe accuse him of treating his life as expendable. Her urging has nudged him toward change: he now tries to care for himself, loosen his dependence on Yor, and grudgingly concede Loid's place in her life, even as his distrust endures.

Yuri's mind is his sharpest weapon. Set on supporting Yor after their parents died, he outpaced her academically as a child, skipped grades, entered college at fourteen, and secured a diplomatic post soon after. The SSS gets the same aptitude in the field: he tracks targets' routines in exhaustive detail and assembles evidence fast, and his surveillance of Franklin Perkin exposed exactly how the man circulated his illegal publications. Elite operatives can still outclass him; Twilight deduced his SSS affiliation from flaws in his cover story.

Physically, durability is his signature. He has walked away from Yor's full-strength strikes, a truck collision after days without sleep, gunshot wounds, and a brutal running fight with Twilight in the sewers, where he landed genuine hits despite mounting injuries. That pain tolerance appears tied to motivation, weakening when nothing he cares about is at stake. He subdues suspects efficiently in close quarters, as Conrad and the Chicken Circle learned, and his marksmanship put a bullet in Loid's arm mid-melee.

Interrogation work earned him Director Wyman Wilker's confidence despite his youth; he broke Jim Hayward by picking apart contradictions and applying evidence, intimidation, and pressure. He reads people from a distance, gauging training, injuries, and intent by observation alone, and he tutors capably, having coached both Yor and Anya through their studies with grammar and logic as his strengths. His weak points are a near-zero alcohol tolerance, reckless disregard for his own safety, and cooking almost as unpleasant as his sister's.
