Wrapping up a contract against an armed Red Circus cell, Yor phones her employer to confirm completion and plans a grocery stop, never noticing the one militant still breathing behind her. He fires, and she comes home with a bullet lodged in her backside and a grimace of pure pain. Loid, watching a news report about the terrorist group's bodies being discovered, reads her expression as resentment over being asked to run errands. When morning brings an even darker scowl, he proposes a date to lift her spirits, and Yor accepts, treating it as training in how a proper married woman behaves. Anya, refused a spot on the outing, drafts Franky into tailing the couple in disguise while Bond guards the apartment with her toys.

Loid arrives armed with 862 prepared date plans, and Yor's injury guts the list immediately: sitting is agony, so the chauffeured car, and 794 scenarios with it, get scrapped in favor of walking. He spots the two amateur shadows within seconds and simply ignores them. The mall, the cinema, a club, the pond, a spa, and the zoo all fail to crack Yor's pained mask, deepening Loid's conviction that she remains furious with him. Dinner at an upscale restaurant, one of the few serving blowfish, brings the real threat: a waiter there is the massacre's lone survivor, and he recognizes the Thorn Princess. His revenge begins with blowfish toxin squeezed into her martini. Yor drains the glass, and her freakish poison tolerance converts the assassination attempt into anesthesia; the numbness kills her pain, her mood soars, and both her husband and her would-be killer are left baffled.

The waiter falls back on an improvised bomb from storeroom ingredients, but Anya has been crawling through the vents ahead of him. Olive oil greases the hallway, a bucket ambushes his skull, and the device he grabs detonates harmlessly, packed with peanuts. Anya materializes to warn him away from her mother forever, casually citing his girlfriend Catherine by name, and the terrified man renounces vengeance and resolves to live honestly before fainting. Outside, a pain-free Yor thanks Loid for the evening and hopes for another date sometime, a wish he shares. Spotting a carnival, they head for it, at which point Anya abandons stealth entirely and demands a Ferris wheel ride. By the next morning the toxin has worn off, the agony has returned, and Loid faces the same unreadable scowl all over again.

Yor is shot during a Garden assassination of the Red Circus terrorist group, and hiding the wound drives the episode's misunderstandings.

Loid's date campaign fails at venue after venue because pain, not anger, is behind Yor's expression.

The sole Red Circus survivor tries to poison Yor with blowfish toxin, which instead numbs her wound thanks to her poison resistance.

Anya secretly neutralizes the waiter's backup bomb with peanuts and scares him into abandoning revenge, preserving both the date and the family.

The season two premiere adapts Extra Mission 2, placed within the Imperial Scholars Mixer Arc, and aired in Japan on October 7, 2023. Because the adaptation lands far later than the story's original manga position, Bond already lives with the Forgers and appears guarding the home with Director Chimera and Agent Penguinman at his side.

The anime adds scenes of Anya and Franky's vantage point at each date stop, swaps the manga's elephant for a bear that recoils from Yor's pained face, and cuts the bookstore visit. The suit Loid recommends at the mall is the same outfit Yor later wears in Episode 30. The English dub gives the silent dinner scene dialogue, with Yor joking that Anya is "torturing Franky."
