Chapter 67 Part 2

The concluding installment of Mission 67 reached Shonen Jump Plus on September 5, 2022, a 15-page release later folded into the complete chapter for Volume 11 of Tatsuya Endo's SPY x FAMILY. It resolves the hospital feud set up in Part 1, where director Gerald Gorey, consumed by envy of Loid's popularity and convinced the psychiatrist was courting Fiona Frost, phoned in a false espionage accusation to the State Security Service.

A pair of undercover officers appears at Berlint General Hospital to verify the tip. Gerald points them to his target, spinning a story about catching Loid digging through the records room after hours to sell hospital data westward, then steers them toward a dossier of counterfeit classified material he stashed in Loid's desk. Satisfied, the officers corner the doctor alone and clap him in handcuffs while Gerald savors the moment from around a corner.

The arrest is theater. Under his breath, Loid asks the cuffing officer what he thinks he is doing, and Franky grins back that the expression on his face was worth it; both he and the second officer, Fiona, were tasked with intercepting Gerald's call and acting out this charade. With their audience still peeking, the trio performs the reversal. Fiona drags Gerald from hiding and names him as the accuser, and the sputtering director claims he assumed spycraft explained Loid's charm, a guess Franky silently concedes is accurate. Examining the planted papers, Loid observes the typeface does not match his machine; Franky dates it to an obsolete typewriter, and only one person in the building owns such a relic. Fiona caps the pivot by citing Gerald's presence on a surveillance list, and Franky recites his misdeeds, concluding the wrong man is in cuffs.

Loid then delivers the masterstroke. Blocking the officers with manufactured tears, he insists Gerald loves Ostania too much to betray it, calls him a finer leader and better-loved figure than himself, dubs him the hospital's greatest treasure, and volunteers for arrest in his stead. The performance shatters Gerald, who is released, tearfully reconciles, and eagerly accepts Loid's offer to relieve his workload, VIP examinations included. Departing, Fiona refuses to change out of the costume Loid sewed for her while Franky keeps his for style points. Back home, Loid contemplates finally setting Plan C in motion; Anya catches the thought and torments herself over what friendship even means.

Gerald plants a folder of fake classified documents in Loid's desk and feeds the visiting SSS officers a fabricated account of Loid selling secrets to Westalis.

The officers arrest Loid, then reveal themselves privately as Franky and Fiona, who intercepted Gerald's report and joined Loid's counter-scheme.

The forged evidence is traced to Gerald through the hospital's only antique typewriter, reversing the accusation, before Loid's weeping tribute to the director spares him and wins his lifelong gratitude, along with the VIP examination access Plan C requires.

Part 2's cover art belongs to Fiona Frost and Franky Franklin in their SSS disguises. As with Chapters 58 and 62 before it, the split release was recombined into a single chapter for the collected volume, and Episode 43 adapts the material.

Gerald Gorey, introduced across this chapter, debuts as an antagonist and exits it as one of Loid's most devoted colleagues, a running gag built on Twilight converting enemies through performance rather than force.
