Hinami Fueguchi is a young ghoul orphaned when investigators killed her parents, leaving her to grow up under the wing of Ken Kaneki and Touka Kirishima. Gentle but gifted with rare dual kagune and razor-sharp senses, she matures from a timid girl into an Aogiri strategist and, later, a teacher of orphaned ghouls.
As a preteen, Hinami is a fair-skinned girl who takes strongly after her late mother, with short, straight brown hair, brown eyes, and a fondness for a hairband trimmed with a pair of four-leaf clovers, a recurring motif for her. Her early wardrobe runs to an orange scarf, a white cardigan over a black shirt, a pale blue skirt, and brown boots. Because her butterfly-patterned dress and coat marked her as the wanted Daughter ghoul, she took to disguises while moving around the 20th Ward. After the time skip she has grown into a poised young woman wearing her hair in a bob parted to the right, cloaked in black on missions and dressed simply in the epilogue.
In her early years, Hinami is bashful and tender-hearted, hungry to learn and devoted to reading, and she frets constantly over the sorrows of Touka and Kaneki. Deeply pacifistic, she holds no wish for revenge even against those who killed her parents, and over time she works past her grief into a brighter outlook. The years following Kaneki's disappearance harden her. She grows quieter, more measured, and more distant, trading much of her old cheer for a jaded realism. Even after joining Aogiri she remains loath to take a life, a reluctance she regards as the weakness that keeps costing her the people she loves.
Hinami's story opens in tragedy. Her mother Ryouko first brings her to Anteiku after her father's death, and there Ken Kaneki begins tutoring the unschooled girl through the books she loves. Not long after, ghoul investigators including Kureo Mado corner mother and daughter in an alley; Ryouko dies buying Hinami time to run, and Hinami reaches them only in time to watch her killed. When Mado later targets Touka, Hinami unleashes her own kagune to help turn the fight, and afterward she is taken in, eventually joining Kaneki's band of ghouls.
The years that follow scatter that family. By the events of the sequel, Hinami has become a member of Aogiri Tree under the alias Yotsume, prized for gathering intelligence and able to direct forces as a strategist. During the auction she works as Ayato's ears, sorting through recordings and commanding ghouls from the rooftop, until Haise Sasaki's screams over the hall's speakers stir her recognition. She breaks from her post to shield him from Seidou Takizawa, calling him big brother and deciding that Sasaki, memories or not, truly is her Kaneki. Her wounds leave her at the CCG's mercy, and Sasaki secures custody of her, which lands her in the Cochlea prison.
Held there and eventually marked for disposal, Hinami is finally freed during the Third Cochlea Raid when Sasaki comes for her. She slaps him for risking his life, then impales Nimura Furuta with her kagune to cover their escape and reunites tearfully with Ayato, Touka, and Yomo. Later she helps tend to a badly wounded Akira Mado, and by the epilogue she has found peace teaching orphaned ghouls to read and write within the United Front, often heading out of town with Ayato.
Hinami is remarkable for being born with two kagune at once, a shield-like koukaku that can bloom into several petals and a set of flexible rinkaku spines she learns to multiply and control. Combined with extraordinarily keen hearing and a sense of smell that lets her locate people from afar, these gifts earn her an SS rating.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Hinami Fueguchi's bond with Ken Kaneki is depicted as a close sibling-like relationship rather than a romance. She calls him her big brother, and the wiki lists him as her pseudo-brother.
Hinami Fueguchi loses both parents to CCG investigators as a child, is raised within Kaneki's circle of ghouls, and later joins Aogiri Tree as a strategist before being captured and imprisoned in Cochlea. She is eventually freed and finds peace teaching orphaned ghouls in the story's epilogue.
