Kureo Mado was a First Class investigator infamous as the Quinque Fanatic, and the mentor and partner of Koutarou Amon. Widowed by the One-Eyed Owl, he poured his grief into an obsessive, cruel crusade against ghouls that ended when he pursued the Fueguchi child.
A wide, fixed grin usually split Mado's face, undercut by hollow cheeks that struck Amon as corpse-like. Long white hair hung in stringy strands, and his thin, hunched frame made him seem smaller than he was, one eye tending to bulge while the other narrowed. He favored a grey trench coat trimmed with silver over a white shirt and pale trousers, finished with a dark red tie, white gloves, and a briefcase seldom out of reach. In his younger days his expression was ordinary and his hair worn shorter.
Mado was consumed by ghouls and their kagune as raw material for building quinques, often waiting for a hunted target to bare its kagune so he could claim it. That fixation grew out of the death of his wife, Kasuka, sent to stall the One-Eyed Owl single-handedly in the 24th ward roughly a decade earlier, a loss that devastated him and their daughter Akira and turned his obsession into a coping mechanism.
Years of experience had sharpened his intuition to the point that the smallest detail could reveal a ghoul, and Amon came to revere the veteran and study his methods. Cruel and violent toward ghouls yet an ordinary, dutiful old man among his fellow humans, he was capable of love and care, and by Akira's account never sought a rank above First Class, insisting it was all he required to pursue the Owl. His grief also curdled into sadism, seen when he taunted the child Hinami about her parents' deaths and reveled in Ryouko's killing, revealing an almost psychopathic streak toward ghouls.
After the One-Eyed Owl claimed Kasuka, Mado grew sterner about extermination and set out to elevate himself by collecting kagune and crafting quinques, vowing to kill the one-eyed ghoul with the gloved left hand that bore his wedding ring. He and his squad once faced the Non-Killing Owl in the 2nd ward and were overwhelmed until a young Kishou Arima gathered the fallen Special Class quinques and drove the creature off. Later, alongside Yukinori Shinohara, he defeated the kakuja Corpse Collector, Arata Kirishima, and set out to hunt Arata's children. Assigned Amon as his partner, he nicknamed the doubting recruit a baby bird and used the killing of Applehead, Kie Muramatsu, to test him.
During the Doves' Emergence, Mado slew Asaki Fueguchi and turned his kagune into the quinque Fueguchi One, then tracked down Asaki's family. When he crossed paths with Ryouko Fueguchi and the child Hinami, he mocked the ghouls for imitating human devotion, beheaded Ryouko before she could finish her last words, and forged a second quinque, Fueguchi Two, from her kagune. He later wounded the ghoul he dubbed Rabbit, and eventually cornered Hinami and Touka beneath a bridge. There he beat Touka down and taunted Hinami with the weapons made from her parents, only for Hinami's chimera kagune to sever his right hand and left leg. Fascinated even then, he pressed his hatred until Touka slashed his throat, and his funeral was later held at the 1st ward's CCG Main Office.
Dubbed the Quinque Fanatic, Mado amassed and wielded many quinques across his career and fought as an experienced veteran. These included an unnamed weapon thought to be bikaku type, which Yakumo Oomori destroyed; the rinkaku Fueguchi One, a swift blade later passed to Akira; and the koukaku Fueguchi Two, shaped like spreading petals and blending defense with a counterattacking thrust.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
