Mairo was a ghoul in the service of the Tsukiyama family, a butler-like retainer devoted to his employers. Calm and dutiful to the last, he embodied Mirumo Tsukiyama's creed of setting feeling behind action and gave his life shielding a fellow servant during the CCG's assault.
Mairo was dark-haired, his fringe swept to one side so that his forehead showed.
As with Matsumae, little of Mairo's inner life is revealed beyond the respect he showed the Tsukiyama family as his employers. He generally held an expression of professional blankness, suggesting a calm, composed demeanor, and his deep dedication made him a model of Mirumo's philosophy that placing one's feelings behind one's actions made a person stronger.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Mairo appeared hunting alongside Matsumae and Yuuma when the group was ambushed by Kijima and Ihei, and later stood beside a recovering Matsumae at the Tsukiyama residence. Once Shuu and Matsumae fled to the Luna Eclipse, he turned up near the top floor, relieved to see Shuu safe, then headed downstairs with Matsumae to slow the CCG raiding squad and win their young master some time.
During the clash between Matsumae and Hairu Ihei, Mairo leapt between the fighters, told Matsumae to protect Shuu, and took a blow meant for her from T-Human. Blown in half, he still rode the momentum to behead Ihei even as his upper half dropped. Assumed dead, he then revealed he was still alive, chided Shiki Kijima for having underrated his toughness, and ran his kagune through the investigator's shoulder, keeping him occupied while Matsumae delivered the finishing blow. As a born ghoul, Mairo had great physical strength and a koukaku kagune shaped, despite the type's heavy reputation, into a thin arm-length blade that could also serve as a short javelin tethered to his body by threads.
