Nashiro Yasuhisa, known to her twin as Shiro, was an artificial one-eyed ghoul who fought to keep Ken Kaneki from reaching Madam A. Orphaned young and remade by Akihiro Kanou, she is fatally wounded in battle and abandoned to die, leaving her sister Kurona to cling to a delusion of her survival.
Nashiro and Kurona are mirror images of one another, each born with pale hair and dark eyes as children. The transplant surgery under Kanou left both with a kakugan, hers set in the right eye with a faint dark mark below it. She wore her white hair at medium length with bluntly cut bangs, an echo of her days as an Academy junior. Her usual outfit was a long white cloak fitted with a single sleeve on the right arm and an eye-like emblem on the hood, and her mask was a plain black-and-white striped design with an opening over the right eye.
Childhood found her bright and buoyant, right up until she watched a ghoul butcher her parents. That trauma hollowed her out, turning her cold, withdrawn, and steeped in a bleak view of life. She came to see her own humanity and the crooked world she lived in as the roots of her suffering, and so chose to become a one-eyed ghoul, her hatred of people carefully cultivated by Kanou's manipulation. Against all that bitterness stood one unshakeable devotion: her love for Kurona, a bond that only deepened after their parents' deaths. She would drop any mission the instant her sister was endangered, and Kurona did the same for her.
Nashiro grew up wealthy and content in a lavish mansion, her sister dreaming of running a restaurant with Nashiro as its first customer. That happiness ended when a ghoul invaded the home and murdered their parents before their eyes. The CCG took the girls in, and they entered the Academy Junior School with hopes of becoming investigators. At fifteen Nashiro shared classes with Juuzou Suzuya, then still called Rei, and though the twins found him strange they refused to join in ostracizing him. Around the same time she met Koutarou Amon as a guest lecturer, came to admire him, and first heard the term one-eyed ghoul from him. Soon after, a classmate died of illness, and while grieving in the woods the twins discovered Juuzou drenched in blood, the culprit behind a string of animal killings. Not long afterward the sisters vanished, taken by Kanou and subjected to the kakuhou transplant surgery, coming to call him their father.
During the raid on Kanou's lab, Nashiro and Kurona guarded Madam A at the Ghoul Restaurant, since Kanou expected Kaneki to strike. Their combined kagune pushed Kaneki back, and her tentacles were recognized as being derived from Rize Kamishiro, the same source as his. Later, inside the underground laboratory, the twins fought Shuu Tsukiyama, were tormented by Eto over their manipulated past, and finally faced Juuzou. He gravely wounded Kurona with his Scorpion knives, and when Nashiro rushed to help, he used his quinque to sever her arm and cripple her. Kurona carried her to Kanou, who declared the damage beyond saving and left her behind. In desperation Kurona later tried to absorb her dying sister through her kagune, and unknowingly killed her.
Afterward, wandering Rushima, Kurona hallucinated conversations with Nashiro and even bared a deformed, humanoid growth on her abdomen that she insisted was her sister, though Kanou dismissed it as grief inventing something from nothing. As an artificial one-eyed ghoul Nashiro wielded a rinkaku kagune, sprouting up to two tentacles from her waist and overwhelming foes through raw strength, most dangerous when paired with Kurona in combination attacks. Thanks to hybrid vigor, her regeneration and power were said to exceed those of a natural-born ghoul.

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
