Renji Yomo is Yoshimura's steadfast right hand and one of the quietly deadly ghouls of Anteiku. Behind a stony face and a raven mask lies a man reshaped by grief, an uncle watching over a family he cannot claim, and a wielder of lightning-charged wings.
A hard, unmoving stare is the first thing most people register about Yomo, set into the face of a tall and heavily built man. Silver hair and rough stubble frame that expression. He tends to keep to a long trenchcoat of the kind favored among ghouls, and beneath it wears the same black shirt he has held onto since his years in the 4th Ward. When he goes masked, the design takes the shape of a raven, the very bird that earned him his nickname.
These days Yomo comes across as taciturn and composed, but that calm was hard-won. In his youth he was volatile and quick to strike back, clashing repeatedly with Uta during their rough early years together. Grief later sharpened his temper into something darker: after Kishou Arima killed his sister Hikari, Yomo burned with a need for revenge and would hurl himself at the investigator in blind fury whenever they crossed paths.
Falling in with Yoshimura slowly cooled the worst of it, and he grew into a loyal figure who handled the manager's quiet errands without complaint. The frost on the surface hides genuine warmth for the people close to him. His fussing over Hetare, whom he tries to teach words and dubs Shooting Star Wing, reveals a softer and oddly devoted streak.
Yoshimura's most trusted lieutenant, Yomo is also a long-standing friend of Uta and Itori, and his feeding habits paired with that bird-like mask earned him the alias Raven. He was raised by his older sister Hikari until a teenage Arima took her life, an event that drove him toward the 4th Ward and years of violence before Yoshimura pulled him out of a losing fight against Arima and took him in.
At Anteiku he worked as a waiter before shifting to quieter tasks like body collection. He stepped in to steady a rampaging Ken Kaneki during the clash with Koutarou Amon, taking a kagune through the gut for his trouble. When the CCG and Anteiku moved against Aogiri Tree, he joined the raid on the 11th Ward base alongside Uta and Shuu Tsukiyama. Later he freed the captive Rize from Kanou's laboratory, warned Kaneki of the closing investigators, and afterward kept Rize confined and cared for.
During the Owl Suppression Operation he stayed out of the fighting to watch over Touka on Yoshimura's orders, telling her the 20th Ward was no longer safe. Two years on, he resurfaces running the cafe :re with Touka, posing as her brother while hiding the truth that he is her maternal uncle. When :re falls, he follows Kaneki into the new group Goat and relocates to the 24th Ward.
The break-in at Cochlea to rescue Hinami nearly ends him. Shielding Touka and Ayato from Arima, he is run through the throat by Narukami, yet recovers and returns to the fight, even hurling a cannon-like bolt of lightning at his old enemy. His luck runs out against Mougan Tanakamaru, who drives a quinque into his stomach and seemingly obliterates him, though he turns up alive weeks later to help launch Goat. In the final conflict he holds his own against the Oggai and later Shinsanpei Aura and Mutsuki Tooru.
Counted among the stronger ghouls in the series, Yomo pairs raw durability with an ukaku kagune shaped like black wings. Beyond the usual barrage of crystalline shards, his cells can generate electricity, letting him fire lightning like a cannon, shock several foes at once, or raise a crackling shield, and with a lightning rod he once tore through Uta's kakuja.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Renji Yomo survives repeated brushes with death across Tokyo Ghoul, including being run through the throat by Narukami and later gutted by Mougan Tanakamaru during the Cochlea raid. He resurfaces alive weeks later to help launch the group Goat and keeps fighting through the series' final battles.
