Ginkui

Rated at the SS level, Ginkui is a bikaku class weapon carried by the investigator Kuki Urie, one built from the kakuhou taken from the ghoul Noro. At rest it takes the shape of a katana, but on command it releases a massive tentacle capped by an enormous maw that can swallow an enemy whole. Its wielder can also set it off remotely rather than swinging it by hand.

The quinque switches between two distinct settings. Under its Trap configuration, the single large tentacle divides into a cluster of smaller mouthed appendages that ambush a foe from many angles at once. Its Expansion setting works differently: thrown while still in katana form and driven into the target's body, the weapon then bursts outward moments later into a spray of tentacles that pierce and rip the victim apart from within. Its name splits into two characters, one meaning silver and the other meaning to eat or devour, which together read as something like silver eater.

The weapon belongs to Kuki Urie, who fights with it as his signature armament. Its raw material came from the ghoul Noro, whose kakuhou was harvested to forge the quinque.
