On the surface, the Trading Company Sphinx dealt in imported foreign merchandise brought to sell across the Japanese market. Beneath that legitimate face it ran a covert trade, supplying the anti-ghoul agency with liquefied ghoul remains used to manufacture quinque and Rc-suppressant technology.
Role
The concealed business channeled dissolved-ghoul solutions into the Commission's hands, feeding the tools the agency relied on in its war against ghoul-kind. Records credit the enterprise to Nanao Yasuhisa, father of Kurona and Nashiro, who is said to have launched the venture on money inherited from his own father.
