Overview

Taking their name from the white attire that marks them out, the White Suits are a ghoul gang defined by tight loyalty among their ranks. Their structure mirrors a traditional crime family, with standing set by an individual's personal power. They first operated inside Aogiri Tree, and once that group collapsed they folded into Goat, handing command to Ken Kaneki.

Role

The gang grew out of the followers of the Aogiri executive Yamori, though it was not yet a formal outfit in his lifetime. In the two years after his death, Naki swelled the group from a mere trio into a far larger force under his direction. Sent to guard the Auction, the Suits threw themselves into the fighting once the CCG struck, seizing the advantage until Akira Mado wounded Naki; Gagi and Guge died taking the bullets meant to finish him, which drove the rest into a furious counterattack. Members such as Shousei Idera and Hooguro later joined Kanae von Rosewald's ambush of the Quinx Squad, and several took part in the raid to seize Ginshi Shirazu's body before many of them escaped Rushima.

When the Clowns assaulted the CCG, Kaneki called for a large contingent of Suits, which enraged Naki, unwilling to obey the man who had killed Yamori. Kaneki settled it by beating Naki in a duel, insisting he wanted the gang fighting under him rather than seized outright. In the following weeks fresh suits were tailored for Goat's ranks, with Shuu Tsukiyama placed in charge, and after another Clown offensive the group went in as the spearhead of Kaneki's plan. Individually the members are strong enough to overwhelm multiple investigators through sheer force, as Gagi and Guge showed against Koutarou Amon, and even long after the CCG's campaigns against Aogiri they were judged as dangerous as ever.

Notable Members

Ken Kaneki leads the gang, having taken over from Naki, who founded its expansion, while Yamori is remembered as the original leader and inspiration. Its ranks include Shousei Idera, Hooguro, the fallen pair Gagi and Guge, and, for a time, Shuu Tsukiyama, along with many unnamed fighters. A shared quirk runs through nearly all of them: apart from Gagi and Guge, every member, Kaneki included, cracks their fingers in the same distinctive way Yamori once did.
