The one hundred fortieth installment of Tokyo Ghoul:re launches the CCG's covert campaign to erase Goat from the 24th Ward. While Kichimura Washuu springs his extermination plan, the White Suit called Naki mounts a hopeless defense, and his final thoughts drift toward the man he still calls Big Bro.
A memory opens the chapter as Juuzou Suzuya sits beside the unconscious Yukinori Shinohara in a hospital room, where a bouquet left by someone unknown rests near the bed.
The scene returns to the present, where Suzuya, Hanbee Abara, Mizurou Tamaki and the rest of the S3 Squad confront a wounded Touka Kirishima, Hinami Fueguchi, and the fleeing ghouls of the 24th Ward. Six hours after his clash inside the office, Kichimura Washuu has fully healed and now directs a classified purge he calls the Goat Wipeout Operation, throwing the S3 Squad and the Oggai against the hideout. Composed and certain, he declares that success here means his victory and orders the assault, while Touka urges her people to fall back.
The narration weighs the S3 Squad against Arima's old 0 Squad: the latter held fewer but elite fighters, whereas Suzuya's unit trades individual power for greater numbers, and its leader is far easier for the ranks to follow than the distant Kishou Arima ever was.
Away from the fighting, Ken Kaneki and Shuu Tsukiyama talk over the decision to leave Yoriko Kuroiwa's planned execution alone. Kaneki reasons that inaction only takes effect on the day itself, then worries the enemy will exploit his absence to strike, which is exactly what Kichimura is doing. Tsukiyama suggests turning back, but Kaneki insists they keep hunting for food since starvation is not an option.
Inside the 24th Ward, Naki, Shousei Idera and Hooguro hold off wave after wave of Oggai as their fellow White Suits fall around them. When Shousei loses an arm and Hooguro is beaten down, Naki steps in to fight in his place. Miza Kusakari brings word that the ward's ghouls have reached safety, and Naki asks her to buy them still more time at his side.
Determined to shield the escape, Naki cuts down every Oggai he can, reminding himself that he fought on the front lines for Aogiri Tree and Goat to make his Big Bro, Yakumo Oomori, proud. Keijin Nakarai and Miyuki Mikage move to encircle the ghoul forces. As his kagune is severed, Naki feels grateful for the fun he had, the words he learned, and the people he protected. He runs bloodied fingers through his hair and decides that dying holds no fear, since it will reunite him with Yamori. His last thoughts name every friend and comrade he gathered along the way before settling, joyfully, on his Big Bro.
Kichimura Washuu, recovered from his earlier injuries, formally opens the Goat Wipeout Operation using the S3 Squad and the Oggai. Kaneki realizes his absence from the hideout has handed the CCG an opening. Naki takes command of the ward's rear guard and dies protecting the retreating ghouls, comforted by the belief that he will see Yamori again.
Released on September 14, 2017 in issue 2017-42, this nineteen-page chapter appears in the thirteenth volume of Tokyo Ghoul:re. Its Japanese title, Nによる殺生, is romanized as En niyoru sesshō. The installment functions largely as a farewell to Naki, closing on the roll call of allies who shaped his life.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
