Gardar is a Viking turned slave in the Slave Arc of Vinland Saga, a towering warrior driven by one purpose: to find the wife and child torn away from him. His desperate reunion with Arnheid on Ketil's farm becomes one of the arc's most wrenching turns.
Gardar is a man of imposing size, his hair worn loose and his body covered in scars, the accumulated record of his years at war and in bondage.
Gardar is fiercely determined and no stranger to violence, yet the core of him is devotion. He loves his wife Arnheid and their child with everything he has, and that love is the force that carries him through his ordeal.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Gardar once lived contentedly with Arnheid in a small Swedish village, the two of them raising their baby son Hjalti. That peace shattered when war broke out over a rich vein of iron found nearby. Gardar and the other village men marched off to fight for it, believing the wealth would better their lives, but the gamble ruined them. Raiders struck the undefended village in their absence, hauling Arnheid away into slavery and killing little Hjalti. Gardar himself was seized and handed to a brutal master.
Years of harsh enslavement passed before Gardar at last broke free and set out to find whatever remained of his family. His search brought him to Ketil's farm, where the guards discovered him; in the clash that followed, Lizard was killed and Snake took him captive, leaving Gardar gravely wounded and bound. It was Arnheid who freed him, cutting him loose so the two could flee together at last. His injuries proved too severe, and he died before they could get far.
Gardar is a former Viking warrior sold into slavery who spends years searching for his wife Arnheid and son Hjalti after they were torn apart; he finds Arnheid on Ketil's farm but dies of his wounds shortly after she frees him, before they can escape together.
Their one encounter does not settle the question outright. When Gardar was discovered at Ketil's farm, the guard Snake captured him in the ensuing clash and left him gravely wounded and bound, though the fight also cost the guard Lizard his life.
Gardar is a Viking turned slave in the Slave Arc of Vinland Saga, a towering, scarred warrior driven by one purpose: finding the wife and child taken from him.
War broke out over a nearby iron deposit, and Gardar and the other village men marched off to fight for it; raiders then struck the undefended village, killing his infant son Hjalti and dragging his wife Arnheid into slavery, while Gardar himself was captured and enslaved.
Yes, briefly. After years of searching, Gardar tracks Arnheid down to Ketil's farm, and she frees him from captivity so they can flee together, but his injuries prove fatal and he dies before they get far.
