Sigvaldi is the third chief of the Jomsvikings in Vinland Saga and the patriarch behind Thorfinn's bloodline. Older brother to the giant Thorkell, he fathered Helga and, by wedding her to the warrior Thors, became grandfather to the series' hero.
Sigvaldi wears his honey-blond hair long and combed straight back, matched by a full beard of the same shade. His dress marks him as a chieftain of means: fur pelts thrown over a red garment, grey trousers, and dark shoes.
Little of Sigvaldi's temperament is dramatized, but his regard for Thors ran deep enough that he gave his daughter Helga to the man in marriage, a clear sign of the trust he placed in the warrior.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
As the Jomsvikings' third leader, Sigvaldi sat at the head of one of the most feared warrior brotherhoods of the age, with his younger brother Thorkell counted among their ranks. His choice to marry Helga to Thors Snorresson planted the family at the heart of the saga, yielding grandchildren in Thorfinn and Ylva and reaching down to Baldr. He appears only briefly and in flashback, seen in Chapter 39 and the anime's nineteenth episode, and he is already dead by the time of the present-day story.
