With Buyon defeated, Goku and Android 8 return to the control room to face General White directly. Believing Goku is exhausted from the Buyon fight, White decides to fight him personally. Goku opens with a kick to the shins that sends White hopping around in pain. After a failed distraction, White grabs Goku's tail, exploiting his well-known weakness. He spins Goku by the tail and slams him into the wall, but after a few moments, Goku recovers and knocks White to the floor.
Seeing a gun on his desk, White secretly pockets it and pretends to surrender. He opens the door to the village chief's cell, and the bald, wild-haired elder emerges. But White seizes the chief, pressing the gun to his face. He offers Android 8 a deal: kill Goku, and the chief goes free. The demand paralyzes Eighter, who cannot bring himself to harm his friend.
White shoots Goku, and the impact knocks the boy unconscious. Something inside Android 8 snaps. His eyes go white with fury as he advances on General White. The general pulls the trigger again, but his gun jams. Eighter delivers a single devastating punch that sends White rocketing out of the control room, through the tower wall, and far across the frozen landscape. Goku wakes moments later, cheerfully announcing he is hungry. As the group exits Muscle Tower, Eighter strikes the structure at key points, bringing the entire fortress crashing down.
The moment Android 8 snaps is the emotional peak of the entire Muscle Tower arc. This android who refused to fight anyone, who begged Goku not to give in to anger, unleashes everything when the person he cares about is shot. The contrast between his pacifist nature and the explosive violence of that single punch makes it unforgettable.
General White's shift from confident commander to hostage-taking coward is a satisfying arc. He talks tough from behind monitors and trapdoors, but when forced into direct confrontation, he resorts to the lowest possible tactic. His exit through the tower wall is perfectly undignified.
Eighter demolishing Muscle Tower is a powerful symbolic moment. The fortress that terrorized Jingle Village crumbles at the hands of the very weapon it created. Suno watching from her window as the tower falls marks the end of the village's nightmare.
This episode concludes the Muscle Tower arc with several anime-exclusive additions. The tail-grab weakness scene, Eighter urging Goku not to kill White, and the tower's destruction itself are all absent from the manga. In the original manga, Muscle Tower remains standing.
The return to Suno's house with the rescued chief is a warm, celebratory scene that the manga skips entirely, jumping ahead to nighttime. Goku referring to himself as "human" here is notable, as neither he nor Toriyama knew about his Saiyan heritage at this point in the story.
