More than six months have passed since Vegeta left to train with Whis. Gohan and Videl's daughter Pan has arrived, and the extended family gathers around the newborn. Mr. Satan entertains her with goofy faces while Gohan transforms into his Great Saiyaman costume for a playful sparring session, tossing Pan between them like a football. Chi-Chi is horrified and insists they raise Pan as a gentle, well-mannered girl rather than another "battle-loving idiot."
