Mie Sayama

Mie is a small schoolgirl who wears her brown hair in twin tails. She turns up in her school uniform, its jacket pinned with a Sailor Moon badge that shows off her admiration for the heroine.

Sharp for her age, Mie is not above faking tears to get her way, doing so early on and again to pressure a reluctant Minako into walking her to school. She also has a stubborn streak, clinging to her belief in Sailor V no matter how others mock her. Meeting Sailor Venus fills her with hope, and once she is rescued she happily adds Venus to her list of idols, chattering about her endlessly to Minako.

Minako grows close to Mie after stepping in twice to shield her from bullies. The girl insists Sailor Moon is real and endures ridicule for it; when she asks Minako whether that is true, Minako answers that what matters is Mie's own belief, and admits she does know Sailor Moon. Minako then walks her to her kindergarten to confront the boys who had been picking on her class.

At the same time, the Cardian Gigaros has been striking kindergarten children aboard their school buses, so the other Inner Guardians send Usagi to guard Mie's class. Usagi slips onto the bus disguised as a teacher with her Disguise Pen, only to find Minako already there. When Gigaros attacks, the two become Sailor Moon and Sailor Venus, and with cheers from Mie, her classmates, and the Moonlight Knight, they bring the monster down with Crescent Beam Shower and Moon Princess Halation. Afterward Mie tells Minako she has become a Sailor Venus fan too.
