Slan is the lone female member of the God Hand, the demonic sovereigns who bend human fate. Worshipped by a hidden cult as the Goddess of Flame, she is defined by sadistic lust and a fixation on Guts, whose torment and defiance she finds beautiful, and whom she hopes to see reborn as a demon.
In place of hair, writhing tentacled appendages crown Slan's head, framing a form that is unmistakably female and wholly demonic. Once human, she now belongs to the God Hand, and she cannot hold a lasting physical body in the mortal world. Instead she conjures rough vessels from her surroundings, shaping herself from bare earth, from restless spirits, or even from the entrails of slain trolls.
Slan revels in cruelty and desire in equal measure. She hails Femto's violation of Casca as a wondrous sight and sheds a tear of rapture at the vision, and being run through the belly with the Dragon Slayer only excites her. Her cult knows her as the Goddess of Flame, drawn to her through cannibalistic orgies and mind-opening drugs that grant glimpses of the future, and it was she who fed their prophet a revelation about the falcon uniting the people.
Her strongest fixation is Guts himself. Against Femto's claim that the swordsman is beneath the God Hand's notice, Slan confesses to having watched his struggles closely and to craving a private meeting with him in the Qliphoth. His endurance fascinates her while his rage and anguish thrill her, and she wants nothing more than for him to sacrifice what he loves and reincarnate as a demon, going so far as to goad him toward it directly.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
Like her fellow God Hand members, Slan perceives the design of causality to a degree that borders on omniscience. Her most visible power is the ability to conjure temporary bodies from whatever lies around her, manifesting a colossal form from the ground during the Eclipse, materializing through restless spirits at Albion, and weaving a vessel from troll intestines in the Qliphoth.
Even in such an incomplete shell she vastly outmatches humans and apostles alike, ripping the armor from Guts' body with a single swipe and overpowering him with ease. She was ultimately wounded and destabilized only when Guts, freed by the Skull Knight's intervention, drove the malice-tempered Dragon Slayer into her, at which she kissed him in joy before dissolving away.
Slan holds an intense fixation on Guts, admiring his endurance and reveling in his rage and anguish, and she kisses him in joy after their final clash, though the source frames this as obsessive desire rather than straightforward love.
