Lin Lin

Lin Lin is a small, slight young woman with a lean frame. Her dark hair is braided and coiled into loops, and a fringe conceals her forehead. She wears a maroon qipao-style top paired with white arm warmers and a scarf, and tiny bells jingle from her hair, her ears, and her shoes. Her eyes are gray in the manga and red in the anime.

Keen and impatient, she can hardly wait for her bouts to start. A curious streak leads her to pry into the abilities of others, from the disguised Saitama fighting as Charanko to Suiryu. Once she witnesses the tournament's horrors, she picks up a lasting dread of monsters, trembling at the mere thought of them.

Lin Lin enters the Super Fight Tournament at the C-City Super Stadium, her second appearance in the event. Her opening match pits her against Max, who dispatches her in short order and leaves her carried off on a stretcher. She sticks around as a spectator, marveling at the crushing win that Saitama, fighting under the alias Charanko, scores over Choze, and wondering aloud how someone so strong could be a complete unknown. Alongside Sour Face, Mentai, and Zakos she watches the bout between Saitama and Suiryu.

The closing ceremony turns to horror when the Three Crows and Gouketsu crash it and announce that the fighters will be made into monsters. Handed a choice between transformation and death, Lin Lin looks on in terror as several competitors accept, and she is later shielded by Suiryu from Choze's energy blast. She watches anxiously when Suiryu seems tempted by the offer, then cheers in relief once it becomes clear he never meant to take it, before the crows knock her out with the rest of the martial artists. She turns up afterward recovering in a hospital with Sour Face and Zakos, following news of the Monster Association, and though she wants to help the heroes, Suiryu urges the fighters to leave the matter to the professionals.

Little is confirmed about her true strength, but she is rumored to rank at the very top among female martial artists, and her movements are praised as lightning-quick and almost artful. Her chosen style, the Palm Bell Fist, is prized for being carried out in complete silence, without a single bell chiming. She also totes an assortment of weapons, among them two polearms, an ornamental sword, and a sai, hinting at broad skill with them, even if Max brushed her aside without difficulty.
