Appearance

This monster is a heavily built, gorilla like being marked by a scar over his left eye. He tops his head with a green beret pinned with a banana emblem and slings a holster across a black t-shirt lined with bananas. In the manga those bananas double as cases for his cigars, a detail the anime changed into ordinary fruit. Camouflage trousers, black knee pads, and black combat boots complete his soldierly outfit.

Personality

Marshall Gorilla is sure of his own strength yet stays fairly realistic about where his limits lie. That confidence still tips into outright arrogance, to the point that he demanded the Hero Association bump his rating up from Tiger to Demon, threatening to keep assaulting A-Class heroes until they complied. He holds particular contempt for monsters who adopt a human way of life, reserving the sharpest scorn for ape monsters who do so.

Abilities

His Tiger classification marks him as a danger to many lives, borne out when he crushed the A-Class hero Heavy Kong without picking up a single wound. That places him above a typical Tiger threat, though still a clear step below Demon level, as his humiliating defeat would confirm.

He fights with a bladed discipline he calls Gorilla Style Knife Skill, whose main technique, Banana Slash, is a straightforward slashing strike delivered with his combat knife. He is presumed skilled with the weapon, which he carries into every fight, though the blade shattered the instant he tried it on Armored Gorilla.

In W-City he wore down Heavy Kong over a quarter hour before finishing him off cleanly, then began pressing the Hero Association for a higher rank. Later, while being shadowed by the S-Class hero Zombieman, he ran into Armored Gorilla and mistook him for a professional hero. Startled to find a fellow gorilla, and disgusted to hear this one had allied with humans, he lunged with Banana Slash, only for Armored Gorilla to answer with a single punch to the face that knocked him out cold.
