Finger family

The Finger family is an Eldian household confined to Liberio under Marleyan rule. Only two members are known, a father and his daughter Pieck, and both live to see the end of the war. When a grave sickness left Finger dying, Pieck put herself forward for the Warrior Unit and earned the Cart Titan, an inheritance that paid for the medicine keeping him alive. The rescue tormented him; the Curse of Ymir guaranteed his daughter an early death, and he despaired at the price of his own survival.

Pieck's Cart Titan makes her one of Marley's workhorses. She hauls supplies for Zeke Yeager's expedition to Paradis Island and stands by as the villagers of Ragako are turned into Titans. During the Battle of Shiganshina District she serves as a lookout, keeps Bertolt hidden in a barrel carried on her back, and snatches Zeke and Reiner away from the Survey Corps before they can be killed. Coming home from the Mid-East war, she receives a joyful welcome from her father.

The Raid on Liberio nearly ends her. A mysterious soldier, Yelena, traps her and Porco Galliard at the bottom of a pit, and after climbing out she recognizes the sound of enemy maneuvering gear; Thunder Spears later wound her badly enough to force a retreat. On Paradis she baits Eren Yeager into a Marleyan ambush by claiming she wants to see Marley defeated, yet once Eren and Zeke trigger the Rumbling, she joins Reiner and Magath in siding with the Survey Corps against the Yeagerists.

As the Wall Titans close on Marley, Finger and his Eldian neighbors force a soldier to run a train to Fort Salta, hoping to flee by airship. Urged to discard his armband, he keeps it, thinking fondly of what his daughter sacrificed for him. At the fort he watches her fight Eren's Founding Titan, and once the source of all living matter releases its gas he becomes a Pure Titan, forcing Pieck to leave him behind mid-battle. Eren's death restores him to human form, and Pieck goes on to serve among the ambassadors seeking peace with Paradis.

Pieck Finger carries the Cart Titan through every major campaign of the war and survives to its finale. Her father, known only as Finger, endures illness, the Rumbling, and a brief spell as a Pure Titan before the power of the Titans disappears. The family loses no one.
