When a report arrives claiming the Colossus and Armored Titans have broken through Wall Rose, he joins the other nobles in ordering the gates shut against refugees, and the council openly weighs the prospect of Rod Reiss recovering the Coordinate from Eren Yeager within days. Darius Zackly then interrupts alongside Dot Pixis to reveal that the breach report was staged, a test of the assembly's fitness to govern that the nobles have plainly failed.

His colleagues are arrested and locked away, yet for reasons never explained this minister escapes punishment entirely and continues serving on the reconstituted assembly under Historia Reiss.
