Summary
Trading blows with Zodd while fixed on reaching Griffith, Guts turns aside the apostle's attack and slips past him. Griffith, meanwhile, moves toward the unconscious Casca in the care of Schierke and Farnese. As he kneels and reaches for her, a furious Guts lunges to cut him down but freezes his blade just above Griffith's shoulder, halted by the sight of Griffith gathering Casca into his arms.
Across Elfhelm, Danan rests with Isidro, Isma, and Serpico after long hours of brownie work when she suddenly buckles in pain, sensing a flood surging up from deep underground.
