Gran Rey Cero

Gran Rey Cero stands among the most destructive variants of the Cero, and only the Espada can call upon it. By spilling their own blood into a charging blast, an Arrancar dramatically raises both its speed and its killing power, producing a beam many times fiercer than the ordinary version. Because a single one could level Las Noches, its use within the fortress is expressly prohibited.

To fire the technique, an Espada opens a cut on their hand and lets the blood mingle into a gathering Cero, which acts as a catalyst that supercharges the attack and tints the beam a shade unique to its wielder. Once released, the blast churns and rotates like a spinning blade, compressing and expanding under its own momentum and disturbing the very space it travels through. Its output dwarfs a normal Cero by a wide margin.

The move belongs to the ranks of the Espada, with Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez showcasing a blue version during his climactic duel with Ichigo Kurosaki. Ichigo himself later charges one of his own, while the Arrancar Arturo Plateado wields it in the games and Hikone Ubuginu employs it in the novels. Ulquiorra Cifer names the technique among the acts banned inside Las Noches, warning it is overwhelming enough to destroy the whole fortress.
