Haru is an anime-only elderly woman with the rare gift of seeing spirits. Years earlier she cared for a young Tōshirō Hitsugaya during his human-world training, and she spends her later days in the company of the ghost Yōsuke.
Haru is an aged woman with cropped brown hair and gentle brown eyes. She dresses plainly, layering a violet jacket over a yellow sweater and pairing them with a long pink skirt.
She comes across as a gentle, mild-mannered soul, quietly caring toward those around her.

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....
Long ago, when Tōshirō Hitsugaya was posted to the living world to cut down Hollows and gain experience, Haru crossed paths with him and took him under her wing. Years later she draws him and Karin Kurosaki back to her home after their soccer match and introduces Yōsuke, a lingering Plus who has settled in her garden; she confides that his company brightens her solitary life, and that he cannot move on until he witnesses snow, having died alongside his family on the way to go skiing.
When the pair visit again, Karin finds Haru collapsed, and Hitsugaya realizes she has been spending her own spiritual power to slow Yōsuke's slide into becoming a Hollow. As the spirit finally transforms, the reawakened Haru calms him using her own reiatsu, then apologizes as Hitsugaya purifies him. Yōsuke briefly returns to his Plus form in time to watch snow begin to fall, letting him depart in peace for Soul Society, after which Haru bids the two visitors farewell.
