Hō and Ban

The brothers are a pair of young men who share pale skin, jet-black hair, and narrow, maroon-colored eyes. Each dresses identically in an orange shirt under a mostly-zipped brown sweater that bears a dark half-circle mark on either breast, paired with baggy dark gray shorts whose legs are rolled up. What sets them apart is their headwear: Hō keeps short hair under a red baseball cap shaped like a skull, while Ban tucks chin-length, center-parted hair beneath a white beanie.

Smug, arrogant, and cruel, the twins take pleasure in prey that fights back yet mock those same targets for dragging things out too long. They look down on Humans as physically feeble and slow to learn, and they revel in killing from a distance without ever revealing themselves. Their confidence rests on Guhl and Günther drawing their power from water, something their victims cannot live without, especially in the rain, which is bold enough to make them confront targets in person. In a fight they are savage, willing to invade a body and tear it apart from the inside.

For all their coldness, the two care deeply about each other and about their Dolls. They trade philosophical remarks and finish each other's sentences while hunting, and grow anxious whenever their Dolls are in danger. That bond has a limit, though: when Noba knocked Ban out cold, a briefly frantic Hō declared he could fight on alone, only to be stunned when Guhl stopped obeying him.

During the anime-original Bount arc, Jin Kariya orders the twins to bring him Uryū Ishida, who is sheltering at Karakura Hospital under Ichigo Kurosaki's protection. They send their Dolls, Guhl and Günther, flooding through the building to seize Uryū, only for Rukia Kuchiki to expose their weakness to heat from Kidō. Undeterred, they chase Ichigo's group out into a rainswept parking lot and press the attack, then pursue Yasutora Sado and Orihime Inoue when they flee with Uryū.

At an abandoned factory the twins capture Uryū and move to kill everyone by sending their Dolls inside their victims' bodies. The plan unravels when Noba teleports Ban away in short jumps until he drops onto his head and is knocked out, weakening Hō's grip on Guhl. With his Doll no longer answering him, Hō dies alongside his brother once Ganju Shiba sets off a firework against their crests, wiping out both Dolls and the twins with them.
