Slim and youthful, Komae tucks his black hair beneath a white bandanna. Like the rest of his crew he dresses in a loose blue jumpsuit cinched by a yellow sash, with an assortment of weapons stowed through the belt.

History
Komae serves under Daiji Hirasago, the self-styled 'Bull of Kusajishi,' alongside fellow members Lady and Max. During the Bount incursion into Soul Society, Ganju Shiba comes seeking help navigating the district, and Daiji emerges from the brush with his followers to greet him. A day later Daiji returns with scouting news that the Bount are massing thugs from across Kusajishi to strike the Seireitei. Persuaded once Ganju admits he is doing this to aid Ichigo Kurosaki, Daiji gathers his own fighters, Komae among them, and that night they storm the thugs' stronghold and scatter the ones left behind.
