Kukkapūro

Barely larger than a house pet, Kukkapūro looks like a puppy wearing a bony Hollow mask. A coat of plush white fur covers him, though the anime recolored it a light brown instead. The mask leaves wide, empty eye sockets and sprouts a pair of tiny horns just above his long, floppy ears. Branded on his back is the numeral 35, the rank he holds within the Números.

The pup attaches himself to Yammy for a bittersweet reason: the huge Arrancar resembles the master who once cared for him, even though Yammy offers him no attention or upkeep in return. That devotion runs deep, and Kukkapūro openly mourns when Yammy dies.

He awoke one day in Hueco Mundo already a Hollow, with almost nothing left of his former life. All he retained was the memory of a large hand stroking his head and speaking the name Kukkapūro. He stayed alive by drawing in the ambient Reishi of the wasteland, and eventually crossed paths with Yammy Llargo. A single look told him how much the giant resembled his old owner, and from then on he scrambled to keep pace behind him.

In the manga he yaps at Yammy during a meal, ducks the bone hurled at him in irritation, then pads out after him. When Yammy is later beaten in combat, the pup approaches; the dying Arrancar briefly stirs to ask why the creature ever followed him. Afterward, Kukkapūro emerges from the rubble of Las Noches to meet Tier Harribel and her Fracción returning home. Emilou Apacci warns him he will be killed if he lingers and scoops him up, but he wriggles free at Cyan Sung-Sun's urging, and Franceska Mila Rose pats his head before the group departs. Left behind, he thinks again of his lost master.

Tite Kubo has confirmed the little Hollow outlived both Yammy's death and the Wandenreich assault on Hueco Mundo, and that, like every member of the Números, he was once a Menos Grande. In Bleach: Brave Souls he fights with a light purple Reiatsu, spitting a small red Cero and barking crimson Bala, and rounds out his moveset with Sonído, a charging rush, and a howling attack.
