Yammy Llargo

The biggest of the Espada by a wide margin, Yammy is a hulking, tan-skinned brute with a ridged skull and a heavy frame. He keeps his black hair in a thin ponytail flanked by thick bushy sideburns, is otherwise bald, and wears orange brows above brown eyes streaked with red markings. His Espada coat always hangs open, exposing the Hollow hole at the center of his chest, while the remnant of his mask, a toothed jawbone, rests along his chin. The number ten inked on his left shoulder loses its one when he releases, leaving only the zero.

Immensely strong but slow-witted, Yammy drifts through boredom until a fight sparks him to life, and he delights in stumbling onto opponents worth crushing, blurting suerte whenever one amuses him. He scorns tactics in favor of pure force, and because his knack for reading spiritual pressure is so poor, he habitually underestimates enemies to his own cost.

He rebuilds his reserves by eating and sleeping, waking up stubborn and self-centered. The one bond he shows is a lopsided loyalty to Ulquiorra, tagging along on his missions and borrowing his trash insult; for everyone else he holds open contempt, having killed the healer who repaired his arm purely to gauge its power and struck down allies who blocked his path.

Alone among the Espada, Yammy stockpiles power by resting and feeding, then unleashes it by releasing his Zanpakuto, a change that flips his rank to zero and swells his body; the angrier he grows, the larger and mightier he becomes. He fights as a pure brawler, never drawing his blade in combat, backed by immense strength that lets his lightest swing shatter walls. From his mouth he fires a red Cero and from his fists a red Bala, and his Hierro is reckoned the second toughest of any Espada, behind only Nnoitra's. He can tear open a Garganta with Descorrer and drain the souls of the living through Gonzui, which he treats as a form of eating.

His Zanpakuto, Ira, answers the command Get Pissed Off and balloons him into a kaiju-like giant with elephantine legs and a clubbed tail, boosting his Cero, Bala, Hierro, and strength and granting a black Cero Oscuras. When his fury peaks the release evolves further into an ape-like form with high-speed regeneration. His one glaring flaw is his badly underdeveloped Pesquisa, which repeatedly leaves him blind to a foe's true strength.
