Counted among the higher Quincy arts, Ransotengai lets a fighter override the physical limits of their own body. Its name is written to mean Heavenly Wild Puppet Suit, and it works by hanging the user's limbs on mind-controlled lines like a marionette on its strings.
Mechanics
The user spins out lines of Reishi, directed straight from the brain, and attaches them to their own limbs like the strings of a puppet. Guided this way, the body keeps moving freely despite paralysis, shattered bones, or any other injury that would normally stop it. The method was devised so that aged Quincy could still hold their own in a fight. It is exceptionally rare: Mayuri Kurotsuchi, who had dissected and catalogued 2,661 separate specimens, had never met a Quincy able to perform it before facing Uryu Ishida.
