Shemihaza

Shemihaza has a demonic build, marked by two large horns, clawed hands, a beak, and grey skin. A red Mohawk runs over his head, and a flame colored cape hangs from his frame.

Acting as Bansui Amatsuki's henchman, Shemihaza first appears in the Dangai, where Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Yoruichi Shihoin, and Kisuke Urahara catch him turning Souls into Hollows before he slips away through a gate. He surfaces again in the Rukongai doing the same, and when the group tails him hoping he will lead them to a passage into Hueco Mundo, it proves a setup and Hollows ambush them at the gate. He later reopens the way, and this time the party crosses into Hueco Mundo, but he mistakenly believes a flash bomb from Suzuki has killed them all and departs. In a fresh ambush he dodges an arrow from Uryu Ishida that instead shatters a stone pillar, burying the group and letting him carry off everyone but Ichigo, who is dug out by Kon and Hanataro Yamada. On Bansui's orders he sets out to execute Rukia, Orihime, Sado, and Uryu with a machine that would forge their power into weapons, but Ichigo and Byakuya Kuchiki catch him in the act, Suzuki shields them and is left dying, and after a hard fight bolstered by his gear, Suzuki rises to smash that equipment before Shemihaza falls to Ichigo and Byakuya.

His breath scatters a mist of particles that transforms Souls into Hollows, some of which keep their awareness even as they lose their memories. He can also throw a small black sphere that detonates into a huge explosion, lunge onto a foe to hammer them with both clawed hands, and gather energy to hurl a projectile of black mist. On top of this innate power, the equipment given to him by Bansui makes him tougher still in a drawn out fight.
