Tae Yamashita

Tae carries the look of a woman in her thirties, her long brown hair framing a plain, gentle face. Her everyday outfit pairs a blue vest over a white shirt with a brown skirt.

The game paints Tae as a devoted wife and mother whose life bends around mourning. Long after her husband's death she still refuses to let go, keeping his memory alive for their daughter through a steady daily ritual of remembrance.

When Mayu was still an infant, Yoshihiko Yamashita was killed in a car crash, a loss that struck right after he had crafted a baby ring in the hope of watching her grow up. From then on Tae returned each day to the site of the accident, her daughter at her side, laying flowers and offering prayers. Unknown to her, Bansui Amatsuki had turned the dead man into a Hollow. When Ichigo Kurosaki and his companions, Rukia Kuchiki, Orihime Inoue, Yasutora Sado, and Uryū Ishida, trace the strange goings-on around the crash site, they meet Tae and hear the full account from her. After the group later encounters Yoshihiko in Hueco Mundo, Orihime returns to reunite with Tae and Mayu, and Ichigo brings the family before Yoshihiko so that he might reclaim his humanity.
