Yoshihiko Yamashita

In his Hollow state, Yoshihiko cuts a short, thickset figure. His body is colored in shades of yellow and brown, and a pair of large horns juts from either side of his bone mask.

Even twisted into a Hollow, Yoshihiko is defined by his devotion to his family. In life he crafted a ring to celebrate his newborn daughter, and losing that keepsake tormented him so deeply that his lingering attachment chained him to the world as a monster. It is ultimately the sight of his wife and child, the girl wearing that very ring, that cuts through his rage and restores his memory and his humanity.

Three years before the game's events, Yoshihiko died in a road accident soon after making a ring for his infant daughter. Even mortally injured, he rummaged through his belongings for the ring but ran out of strength before he could find it. After his death, Bansui Amatsuki deceived him and turned him into a Hollow.

In Bleach: Hanatareshi Yabou, he raids Uryū Ishida's home to steal an important Quincy tome, then repeatedly clashes with Ichigo Kurosaki and his friends, each time escaping with the aid of a dragon-like Hollow. The theft earns him a promotion to security captain under Bansui in Hueco Mundo. When Orihime brings his wife Tae and daughter Mayu into view through the Senridama, the reminder of his family restores his humanity, and he hands the group a copy of the book he had transcribed by hand. Moments later, Bansui arrives and kills him.
