Tatsufusa Enjōji

Standing well past six feet and heavily built, Tatsufusa cuts an imposing figure with dense, bushy brows and hair worked into a pair of long braids. He wears a modified version of the Shinigami robe that bares his chest and torso down the left side, and a trio of interlocking tomoe, echoing the guard of his sword, is inked across his left shoulder.

A swollen sense of pride defines him. He crows that no intruder has ever slipped past his station and treats combat as theater, whipping his blade through loud, ridiculous arcs while supplying his own sound effects. For all the bluster, he privately nurses romantic feelings for Suì-Fēng, the captain of the Second Division.

When Sado storms the Eighth Division barracks hunting for Rukia Kuchiki, Tatsufusa plants himself in the path, announces his rank, and launches into his whirling swordplay, only for the unmoved teenager to flatten him with one blow to the jaw; Sado dismisses the whole display as riddled with openings. His signature move, Hōzan Kenbu, spins his zanpakuto Hōzan around his body to keep enemies at bay, though that fight marked its one and only defeat.

He resurfaces during the Thousand-Year Blood War, attending Chōjirō Sasakibe's cremation and later pouring his reiatsu into the effort to open a gate toward the Soul King Palace.
