In episode 126, Ichigo hears of Aizen's plot while training with the Visored, Sado hardens himself against Renji's Bankai, and Uryū's brutal duel with his father Ryūken ends with a single arrow to the chest that restores his lost Quincy powers.
Speaking through the monitor in Orihime's apartment, Hitsugaya forgives Hinamori for once drawing her blade against him and gently urges her to rest. When she begs him not to kill Aizen, Yamamoto quietly puts her to sleep with Inemuri, and Sasakibe catches her. Beneath the Urahara Shop, Sado presses his Fullbring against Renji's Bankai, and a flashback explains how Urahara maneuvered the reluctant lieutenant into both the training and three months of odd jobs, revealing along the way that he once led the Twelfth Division and built the Hōgyoku.
At the Visored warehouse, Ichigo struggles to hold his Hollow mask for more than a few seconds before Hiyori kicks him through the rocks, Kensei explaining that the drill is meant to extend how long he can stay Hollowfied. Drawn by faint traces, Orihime approaches and, sensing the Hachigyō Sōgai barrier is akin to her own Santen Kesshun, slips straight through it, stunning the Visored. She relays Yamamoto's warning to a battered Ichigo, who vows to stop Aizen, and departs as Yoruichi arrives to fetch her; Shinji melodramatically claims Orihime was his first love.
At the Karakura Hospital chamber, an exhausted Uryū cushions a fall with Wolke and keeps dodging Ryūken's relentless Klavier volleys by Hirenkyaku. Believing he has reached his limit, Uryū traps his father in the Gritz barrier, but Ryūken shrugs it off, notches a larger arrow, and shoots him near the heart. Standing over his son, Ryūken explains that a Heilig Pfeil striking a precise point beside the heart is the only way to recover the powers lost to Quincy: Letzt Stil, and a Quincy Zeichen now marks Uryū's chest as Ryūken chooses to spare him.
Yamamoto silences Hinamori with Inemuri after she pleads for Aizen's life. A flashback shows Urahara tricking Renji into training Sado and disclosing his past as a former captain and the Hōgyoku's creator. Orihime detects the Visored warehouse and passes through Hachigen's barrier, delivering Yamamoto's warning to Ichigo. Ryūken defeats Uryū in their duel and deliberately shoots him beside the heart, restoring the Quincy powers Uryū had sacrificed and branding him with a Quincy Zeichen.
