Sanrei Glove

A white gauntlet that climbs the forearm to within a couple of inches of the elbow, this Quincy tool carries the formal name Sanrei Shutō and later earns the alias Leiden Hant among the Wandenreich. Sōken Ishida handed one down to his grandson Uryū as a teaching instrument. Its purpose is deceptively plain: it pushes Reishi away from the user, turning the ordinary act of forming a bow into a grueling struggle. The empire's own model is dark, marked with their crest on the back, and stops at the wrist rather than climbing the arm, while Mask De Masculine reaches the same effect through a belt instead of a glove.

Mastery takes roughly a week of relentless practice. A Quincy first has to conjure their bow against the glove's resistance, then keep it from fading while loosing arrows as rapidly as they can manage, a strain punishing enough to leave the hands wounded by week's end. Anyone who pushes through emerges markedly better at drawing in spirit particles, with power, speed, and stamina lifted to rival a mid-ranked Shinigami officer. Sōken called this the summit of Quincy strength, and the discipline underpins the Letzt Stil.

Peeling the glove off is a desperate final measure, reserved for foes beyond one's reach; it was done only once, during Uryū's clash with Mayuri Kurotsuchi. The glove disintegrates on removal, and the wielder forfeits their Quincy abilities entirely unless another Quincy later restores them. Regaining that power means draining oneself in body and mind, then taking a Heilig Pfeil exactly nineteen millimeters to the right of the heart, which leaves a five-pointed scar where it lands. The glove can also spawn Demolishing Chips, fragments that pool the Reishi they gather when triggered by their owner's Reiatsu; Uryū believes enough of them could flatten an entire city.

Sōken Ishida trained Uryū Ishida in its use, and Uryū remains the item's best-known wielder. Among the Wandenreich, the black variant is carried by figures such as Quilge Opie, Robert Accutrone, Bambietta Basterbine, Cang Du, and BG9, while Mask De Masculine relies on a belt that fills the identical role.
