Ichigo Kurosaki closes his first grueling day of training and learns a startling truth about Kisuke Urahara's past, while Tōshirō Hitsugaya corners Gin Ichimaru only to have Momo Hinamori turn her blade on the wrong man.
Beneath Sōkyoku Hill, Ichigo Kurosaki trades furious blows with the manifested Zangetsu until the borrowed Tenshintai reverts and the spirit vanishes, ending his first day. Soaking afterward in a hidden hot spring, he discovers that its water actually mends his wounds rather than dulling the pain. Yoruichi Shihōin joins him, teasing his fluster before slipping in as a cat, and reveals that this underground field was the secret playground she and Kisuke Urahara built deep below the execution grounds, the model for the training room under his shop. Pressed by a stunned Ichigo, she confirms that Urahara was once captain of the Twelfth Division and the founder and first head of the research institute.
In the Third Division, Gin Ichimaru strolls with Izuru Kira until Tōshirō Hitsugaya appears, having deduced their location because only Izuru's cell was unlocked from outside. Gin admits he left the trail deliberately, glad to have arrived before Momo Hinamori. As Hitsugaya moves to strike him down first, Hinamori drops onto the platform between them, and to his shock she levels her blade at his throat in her captain's name while Gin smiles behind her.
Ichigo survives the first day of Bankai training and finds the healing hot spring. Yoruichi reveals the origin of the underground training grounds and exposes Urahara's history as a former Twelfth Division captain and institute founder. Hitsugaya confronts Gin, and Hinamori arrives only to point her sword at Hitsugaya rather than Gin.

Five Bleach female characters, ranked and settled. Yoruichi sits at number five, the spot nobody expects, and our number one is an Arrancar with a soft heart....

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....
The chapter belongs to the fifteenth volume, BEGINNING OF THE DEATH OF TOMORROW, in the Soul Society arc, and was adapted into Episode 47, The Avengers. It first appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump under a second etude title and delivers the major reveal of Urahara's former standing in Soul Society.
In Suspicion 2 of Tears, Ichigo finishes his first day of Bankai training and learns of Kisuke Urahara's past, while Momo Hinamori arrives during Hitsugaya's confrontation with Gin and points her blade at Hitsugaya instead.
