Summary

Standing beside Uryu Ishida, Renji Abarai reckons he can pin Szayelaporro Granz for roughly twenty seconds, and Uryu judges that window sufficient. Curious, the Espada waves his Fraccion off to see what the pair can manage in their state. Nearby, Pesche Guatiche slides painfully down a pillar and lands astride a jutting rock, then grumbles that Uryu abandoned him and robbed him of a straight man for the joke. Spotting Dondochakka Birstanne's foot in the rubble, he creeps over to rescue him while quietly wishing someone would notice his presence, only for Dondochakka to erupt from the debris with a loud greeting that draws the Fraccion straight onto them both.

Across the chamber, Renji whirls Zabimaru overhead to throw off radial waves of force, then hurls the blade at Szayelaporro, who bats it aside and sneers. Renji charges in, grabs the Espada by the collar, and coils Zabimaru's segments around them both, lashing the two together in place. Confessing that he is outmatched and poor at close range, he gathers smoking red energy in his free hand and admits he was always scolded for his shaky Kido before discharging a point-blank Hado number thirty-one, Shakkaho, that engulfs them in a ceiling-high blast.

Szayelaporro staggers out scorched while Renji collapses, but Uryu appears behind him leveling a Seele Schneider. He points out that the Espada drifted away from Renji at the moment of the blast to keep his preferred distance, then stabs the blade downward into the ground. Energy spreads outward, linking Szayelaporro to four more Seele Schneider planted around him in a pentagon. When the Espada insists every weapon was already sealed, Uryu replies that there is much he does not know, pronounces the fight over in Spanish, and pours a Ginto over the blade to detonate a vast five-sided explosion.
