Summary

Gin Ichimaru remarks on how many familiar faces have turned up as Shinji Hirako casually greets Aizen after their long separation. The captains are rattled, and Yamamoto grasps that the exiles had been sheltering in the human world the whole time. Shinji offers his comrades a chance to say hello to old acquaintances, but only he and Lisa Yadomaru break away, heading for Yamamoto and Kyoraku respectively.

Lisa plants her foot on Kyoraku's skull and tells him to quit pretending to be a corpse. When he remarks how lovely she has become, she kicks his jaw and departs, daring him to notice how much stronger she is now. Meanwhile Yamamoto presses Shinji on whether vengeance brought him here. Shinji answers that his grudge belongs to Aizen alone; he never cared for the Gotei 13 and was merely irritated by the sturdy barrier walling off the town.

Chojiro Sasakibe arrives to apologize for hesitating over whether to admit the Visored. Asked outright if the newcomers are allies, Shinji refuses the label. They are no friends of the Gotei 13, he insists; they oppose Aizen and stand with Ichigo, nothing more. As he rejoins the group, Wonderweiss lets out another cry. Gin grumbles that the noise spoils the atmosphere, but Tosen explains the screech is a command aimed at Hooleer. The beast's jaws gape wide and pour out a swarm of Gillian, prompting every Visored to pull on a Hollow mask.
