Summary
Ichigo remembers his blade spirits bidding him farewell as Mugetsu erupts, engulfing Aizen and splitting the land into a crater miles across. Landing utterly spent, he feels his cowl crack and knows his Shinigami powers are slipping away, while the nearly halved Aizen has already started to knit himself back together. Ichigo flickers over to strike the furious survivor once more.
Key Events
The black bleeds out of Ichigo's hair, his strength gone, and he crumples to the earth. Aizen rises in triumph, holding up a Zanpakuto that is dissolving because the Hogyoku has judged he no longer needs one, and gloats that Ichigo is beaten.
