Summary

Outside the Third Division, Rojuro Otoribashi learns his lieutenant Izuru and dozens of Shinigami have fallen. Sternritter U, NaNaNa Najahkoop, taunts him about Bazz-B's handiwork, but Rose, drawing dark inspiration from his grief, warns the Quincy he will not leave alive.

At the Sixth Division, Sternritter F, As Nodt, impales Shinigami on Reishi thorns until Renji Abarai intervenes with Zabimaru, praising a lone Shinigami's resolve and taking over the fight.

Elsewhere the matchups form: Bambietta Basterbine is halted by Sajin Komamura, Driscoll Berci faces Hisagi, Kyoraku approaches Robert Accutrone, Sui-Feng spots BG9, Ukitake meets a dark-haired Sternritter, and Hitsugaya squares off against Cang Du.

Renji's strikes fail against As Nodt's Blut Vene-hardened skin, and when Mask De Masculine attacks from above, Byakuya intercepts him with Senbonzakura, urging Renji to fight without restraint.
