Bambietta Basterbine

Bambietta cuts a slim figure with long, straight hair and matching eyes in a deep purple. Her take on the Sternritter whites bends the standard design toward flair: a hooded cloak, a trench coat falling to mid-thigh, a miniskirt over dark stockings, and knee-high boots trimmed in red to match her gloves. A heart-shaped buckle sits at her waist, and a peaked white cap carrying the Wandenreich crest tops off the outfit.

A gleeful sadist, Bambietta laughs her way through slaughter and thinks nothing of luring handsome male subordinates to her quarters under the pretext of 'relief' before cutting them down. For all that cruelty, she clings fiercely to her own survival; she cannot fathom why Sajin Komamura would throw his life away just to win, since to her mind the entire reason to raise a sword is to keep from dying. That instinct curdles into panic once Komamura overwhelms her, and she pleads with Giselle Gewelle not to finish her. Giselle kills and reanimates her regardless, and as a zombie Bambietta becomes cringing and obedient, calling herself Bambi and scrambling to stay in Giselle's favor while still craving her blood.

Her Schrift, The Explode, does not so much throw bombs as convert matter into them: whatever her reishi touches becomes explosive, so her strikes cannot simply be blocked and can go off in every direction without needing a fixed target. Enough force can still deflect a blast before it detonates, and Mayuri Kurotsuchi later stalls her explosions with devices that suspend reishi activity. She fields a forked Quincy Reishi Sword capable of cleaving lesser Shinigami in two, and her Vollstandig, Zofiel, grants wings for high-speed flight, hardens her durability, and scatters reishi orbs that turn anything they brush into a delayed bomb. A palm-sized Medallion once let her rob Komamura of his Bankai, though holding a stolen Bankai barred her from entering Vollstandig at all.
