Kazuma Nio

A slim goatee and a clipped mustache lend Nio a mature, hard-edged look well beyond his years. He stands 184 centimeters, built long and wiry rather than bulky, and carries himself with an unbothered swagger. His black hair is combed straight back off an exposed forehead, and beneath thin brows his dark eyes tend to fix opponents with a flat, unsmiling stare.

Loud, brash, and relentlessly competitive, Nio treats every contest as a scrap he fully intends to win. He loves nothing more than boasting about his pressing and dragging rivals into physical battles, though Rin Itoshi once weaponized that pride, goading him into overcommitting his best move until it backfired on him. Beneath the noise he is a genuine leader who looks out for his teammates, and his hunger to win never switches off, even away from the pitch.

Classed as a Stopper, Nio is an uncompromising defender who would sooner concede a foul than let a forward slip by. His entire game rests on his frame, specifically the core strength that lets him plant himself against any attacker and smother their options. He shut Seishiro Nagi down so completely that Nagi branded him a power-type defender, unable to trap or spark a single play. By wedging his core behind a ballcarrier he blocks them from turning goalward, and his Doberman Charge drives a shoulder into an opponent to halt any forward run, though Rin Itoshi found a counter before its full force could be measured.
